WeatherKids is an engaging climate education program where children learn about climate change hands-on using a small, open-source weather station called the Weather Computer. This repository contains source code for both versions, v1.0 and v2.0, of the Weather Computer. It is licensed under the CERN Open Hardware License - W, making it free to use, modify, and share in compliance with the license terms.
The WeatherKids Weather Computer is designed to help young learners understand key aspects of weather and climate. Through real-time data collection and analysis, children learn about:
- Temperature
- Humidity
- Atmospheric Pressure
- And optional TVOC sensor
These metrics contribute to building awareness around climate science and inspire further exploration in STEM.
