Linote is a browser extension that provides a floating note-taking app for quick and convenient access while browsing the web. Jot down your ideas, tasks, or any other information you need to remember, without having to switch between applications.
- Simple and intuitive UI
- Create, edit, and delete notes
- Drag the note-taking window
- Keyboard shortcuts for quick access
- Download the ZIP file from from above.
- Extract the ZIP file to a folder on your computer.
- Open Google Chrome and navigate to
chrome://extensions/
. - Enable Developer mode by toggling the switch in the top right corner.
- Click Load unpacked and select the folder you extracted the ZIP file to.
- The extension is now installed! You should see the Alternative Social Media Front-end Redirector icon in your browser toolbar.
To start using the QuickNote extension:
- Press
Ctrl+L
to to open and close Linote - A floating note-taking window will appear on your screen.
- Click on the window to start typing your notes.
- Drag the note window to reposition it on your screen.
- Select any text on a webpage then Press
S
to save the selection to your note.
