• Regional variants:
  • The number of standard variants is reduced from 4 (CN, TW, HK, JP) to 2 (Bliz, Neut);
  • OSF is moved to feature variants;
  • 2 new pseudo-simplified variants: PSimp, PSimpChat.
• Feature variants:
  • OSF is now a feature variant;
  • New feature variants — RP (roleplaying), SC (small caps);
  • Prebuild feature variants: Bliz,OSF, Bliz,RP, Bliz,SC;
  • More feature variants can be simply built by yourself (see home page).
• Naming:
  • All fonts now share “Nowar Rounded Region” family, with proper WWS and legacy names;
  • PostScript names make no sense;
  • Localized family names for East Asian languages:
    • 有爱圆体 (汉语, 简体中文),
    • 有愛圓體 (漢語, 繁體中文),
    • 有愛丸ゴシック (日本語),
    • 有愛 굴림 (한국어).
• Minor adjustment in font weight, width and metrics:
  • Propotional Kana is always applied;
  • Prefer UI feature for Korean;
  • Puctations in non-UI fonts are slightly condensed.
• (For developer) improve build system:
  • configure has been reimplemented in Python.
  • Unify merge scripts for families.
