I can not reproduce this on vanilla geonetwork, so i guess it is related to dutch view (locatieserver search).

the problem is in restoring the map after refresh of the page. i can reproduce strange behaviour also on vanilla by:
Sorry, something went wrong.
Even worse, after only 2 refreshes the map is broken. To restore the map it's necessary to use the "Default map" button in "Manage layers" panel.
