We've gotten this feedback before but I am not finding an open issue currently; it came up during our alpha user feedback session. Folks feel that the default colors for syntax highlighting are too intense in dark mode; we haven't heard this from folks who use light mode.

#1512 is very related (but I don't think it's the same issue).
