# mbox unmaintained and unsound

Two issues have gone unfixed in the `mbox` crate for an extended period of time.

1. Incorrect use of [std::ptr::dangling as a sentinel value](https://github.com/kennytm/mbox/issues/21). This issue has been open with no reply since 2021-11-23.
2. Ignoring [align on windows](https://github.com/kennytm/mbox/issues/23). This issue has been open with no reply since 2023-03-06.
