Python 3 SAMP Version

Version v3.0.3 of modsView addresses issues resulting from end of support for pyds9 and xpa. We have rewritten the low-level ds9 interface to use SAMP for the ds9 interface with the astropy.samp package. We recommend at least SAOImage ds9 v8.6 or later which improved SAMP support we need to get the correct named ds9 instance.

Python 3 Version

Version v2.2.1 of modsView, addressed issues of ds9 v8.x and xpa v2.1.x compatibility. Dropping Python 2 support, and now only supporting modsView for Python 3. Tested on Linux and macOS.

Python 3 compatibility patch

Fixed bug in Python 3 compatibility (raw_input instead of input). Caught by Johnny Greco, tested on iMac running MacOS HighSierra and anaconda python 3.6.5

MODS1+2 Binocular Verison

Version 2 is a major update to support MODS1 and MODS2 binocular operation starting with LBT Semester 2016B when the MODS1 wavefront sensor camera pickoff optics were updated to be the same as in MOD2.
