This will not apply to antelope.
So either
1: we wait with the merge until we have a working version for antelope, too.
or
2: we accept that we would be blocked (i.e. not being able to upgrade) until we have an antelope version then.
Or
3: we merge and don't advertise the feature (but this would make no difference to not having the feature imho).
Since we currently don't have explicit demand: I vote for option (1)
