Water distribution networks are nowadays larger than 2000 nodes

I am getting an error for greater than 5000 nodes. Is there a way to work around this?

unfortunately, without additional information on the issue, it is hard to address it.
In addition, @sdteffen has not made a change to its repositories since Feb 2014... probably he changed user, job, or died.
