"Bahn zum Berg" is a non profit organization founded 2020 in Austria. Our goal is to protect the sensitive environment of the Alps by encouraging the use of public transportation when going to the mountains for hiking or skiing.

Our basic three pillars:

  1. With our platforms www.bahn-zum-berg.at and www.zuugle.at (in Austria and other countries) we show where hikes in the Alps are reachable with public transportation.
  2. We encourage people who are still using their car, to try public transportation instead and show them how.
  3. We lobby for new and better connections to attractive hikes.
