The French company Parrot made an "airplane drone" (fixed wing/flying wing/rc plane/sUA/UAV). The Disco was launched in 2016 and discontinued in 2018. It features a an EPP ('styrofoam') body, a Linux/Android-based flight computer and 180 degree camera.
- Batteries - extending flight time
- Controlling - extending reach. UAVpal is famous for Disco4G, controlling your Disco over mobile internet
- C.H.U.C.K. - everything about (hacking the) flight computer
- Protection - keeping your Disco alive
- Buttons and lights - understanding the controls
- photos and videos - overlays, 360 pictures
- flightdata
- hardware mods not covered in protection; mostly cosmetic (blinkenlights!)
- cases for transporting your drone safely
- landing because it's hard for some, hmmkay?
max wind: 24mph=38km/h=10.7m/s=5 bft
- so the following is too much: "Large branches in motion; whistling heard in telegraph wires; umbrellas used with difficulty."
