An advanced variant of the vanilla piston that can push and pull a wide variety of blocks that the regular piston can't (including tile entities, 'heavy blocks' such as obsidian and 'soft blocks' such as torches and dust).

In order to function, they need:
- An RF energy source as normal redstone power will not power it up. (Some mods which can generate RF: RFTools, Extra Utilities, Thermal Expansion, etc.)
- A redstone signal
- A block update (e.g. redstone signal, new block position)
These blocks can connect together and 'stick' to adjacent blocks. When a frame is pushed/pulled, the entire structure it is connected with is pushed, provided there is no obstacle blocking the way.
Wrenches have several main functions.
-
Pusher/Pullers: Allows you to adjust the coloured side of the pusher/pullers (Right-Click)
- When used on the Frame Slider, (Shift + Right-Click) will adjust the slider's movement direction independent of its coloured face.
- Frames: Allows you to choose which sides are "open" or "closed".

- Wrench Hammer
Super-Frames are an advanced multi-block structure which allow large, non-contiguous areas to be moved without requiring adjacent frame blocks.
- Super-Frame Edge
- Super-Frame Corner
- Cover Frames
- Hollow Frames
