Super-Frames are an advanced multi-block structure which allow large, non-contiguous areas to be moved without requiring adjacent frame blocks.

By constructing a cubic frame with Super-Frame Edge blocks at its edges, and Super-Frame Corner blocks at its corners, we are able to move the contained Stone blocks without any touching frames.

Super-Frame Components

Super-Frames are composed of both Super-Frame Edge blocks, and Super-Frame Corner blocks

In order to function, each Corner of the cuboid must be connected to exactly 3 other Corner blocks via interceding Edge blocks. A minimum of 1 Edge block is required between each corner, making the minimum dimensions of a Super-Frame (3x3x3).

By these restrictions, the frame is restricted to a cuboid shape (It is not required to be exactly cubical).

The Super-Frame moves all blocks within its bounds, including those that are aligned with its Edge Pieces. As such, a (3x3x3) Super-Frame can move a total of 7 blocks.

To move a Super-Frame, your desired Pusher/Puller must:

Caveats & Techniques

  • It should be noted that if a Pusher/Puller is used within the bounds of the Super-Frame, it moves the contained blocks as though the Super-Frame is not surrounding it. Thus, systems of both Super-Frames and regular frame blocks can be nested within each-other to create complex machines.

  • As a general warning for those not wanting to lose their hard-earned Super-Frame blocks; Though both the Super-Frame Edge and Corner blocks may be mined quickly by hand, they will not drop as an item unless a Pickaxe is used.

  • The Super-Frame is also able to interact with blocks outside of its range if it has regular Frame Blocks extending from its bounds.

  • Both Super-Frame Edges and Corners may touch an already-formed Super-Frame, though they will be unable to create a new Super-Frame
