Project Buendia is an open-source, tablet-based electronic medical record (EMR) system designed for relief missions. It was originally created in collaboration with MSF in response to the 2014 Ebola epidemic in West Africa and has been successfully piloted in Bunia in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. As of January 2020, the Bunia project was handed over from MSF to the Ministère de la Santé Publique in DRC, and the project is currently working to support a new deployment in DRC with either the local health ministry or another MSF project.
