Updating the Tablet (for field users)

The tablet should be configured to automatically update itself from the server it is connected to in the field.

• A "snackbar" message will appear at the bottom of the app informing you that there is a new version
• Tap "Update"
• The app will update itself

Updating the Tablet (for test users)

To update the tablet with the latest version of the app:

• You should have a shortcut to "Jenkins" on the home screen of your app. Click on it

* That should take you to http://jenkins.projectbuendia.org/job/client-dev/ * On that page, under "Last Successful Artifacts" there should be a link to "app-debug.apk" - that's the installation file for the latest version of the app * Click on app-debug.apk to download it * Once downloaded, you'll have a notification at the top - open that and click on app-debug.apk to launch the installer * Follow the prompts to update the app * Once it's updated, press "Open" to launch the latest version of the app

If it cannot connect to the server after updating

• Click on your initials at the top-right
• Click on the Settings cog
• Under "Server" enter "dev.projectbuendia.org"

If the app will not update or it says "App not installed"

• Go into your main Android Settings by swiping down from the top-right of the screen and tapping on the cog icon
• Go into "Apps"
• Find "Buendia" and open its settings
• Tap "Clear data"
• Once that is done, tap "Uninstall"
• Now follow the instructions above again
