Project Buendia (photos and video) is an open-source medical record system designed for relief missions. It was originally created in collaboration with MSF in response to the 2014 Ebola epidemic in West Africa. This page is the main starting point for all project documentation.

August 2015 / Welcome new contributors!

Thank you so much for your interest in joining us to adapt Project Buendia for Nutrition.

Right now we are doing the following:

  • Interviewing medical and nutritional experts to understand the context and needs
  • Prototyping new features and testing with users
  • Ramping up the team - first of all we need a full-time Lead Project Maintainer to take charge of coordinating the open source contributors, allocating tasks, leading code reviews, and so on - if this sounds like you, please fill in the application form.
  • Preparing for a first round of field testing in September

Where might you be able to contribute?

Here are some initial ideas we have of some areas volunteers could contribute to. Once we have our Lead Project Maintainer, we'll be ready to prioritise these and start getting more people to work on these!
