The preview is a little picture under png format that represent your widget. It can be a logo or a screen capture. This picture will be displayed when choosing a new widget in the list, and in the details of your widget in the confirmation dialog before adding it.

In the list, items are displayed with a maximum width of 127px x 80px respecting image ratio. In the details page, the image is displayed with a maximum height of 100px and a maximum width around 180px depending on your screen resolution (col-md-4 on bootstrap). To ensure image quality, recommended preview image is 100px height and maximum 200px wide.
