You may award an item by mistake or find out the winner didn't want it anyway etc. In either case, you might find yourself in need of rewarding an item.

To simplify, awarding an item in RCLootCouncil serves three purposes:

  1. Showing the item as awarding in the voting frame.
  2. Facilitate giving the winner the item.
  3. Recording it in the loot history.

As #1 is not particularly interesting when rewarding, this is not too important. Items can't automatically be moved from one winner to another (nor does RCLootCouncil currently support it through its TradeUI if the item has already been received by the winner) so #2 can also be disregarded.

This leaves #3 to be the only important issue when rewarding an item, and to this end it can be done two ways: Through the voting frame, and through the loot history.

Using the voting frame

This is by far the easiest and preferred way to reward an item, but it can only be done before a new session starts. Rewarding this way will automatically update the voting frame display (#1), tell players to trade to the new winner1 (#2) and update not only your own history, but everyone in the group's as well.

To reward, simply award an already awarded item to a new candidate. That's it. It can be done both during a session or after. If you closed the voting frame window, you can reopen it with /rc open. As noted, this is only possible before the next session starts, as it will override the previous session. If that happens, you may still update your history:

Using the history frame

This method should only be used if the above cannot (i.e. another session has started). This method will only handle #3, and it will only update your history, not everyone else's.

For this method you will need to edit your loot history. Open it with /rc h, and find the affected award. From here you can right click it and change the winner and/or the response. More info is available in the Loot History description.

[1]: Only possible before the winner receives the item.
